Skin care review: The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Booster

Hi everyone,
I hope your doing well, today I will be reviewing a product from Body shop, it is the Vitamin C skin booster. It was a gift from my sister in law, she wanted to give me something that's some what make up related but not make up at all. To be honest I don't need a shimmery base because I already have oily skin. Since it was a gift I decided to give the product a try and see if I can some how use it in my make up or skin care routine.

the product
Product claims:
The Body Shop® difference: Contains vitamin C-rich Amazonian camu camu berry and Community Trade brazil nut oil.
The camu camu berry grows on small trees in the Peruvian Amazon region and is known to have one of the highest contents of vitamin C in nature.
Our brazil nut oil comes from Candela in the Amazon region of Peru. Trade with our suppliers provides a vital source of income for the women who are employed as nut-crackers.
Instant smoothing radiance with vitamin C rich Amazonian camu camu and community trade brazil but oil.
Best if you want to: Create instant smoothing radiance with a silky smooth finish. It's an ideal skin pick-me-up to enhance your glow and our favorite Vitamin C product!
Best for: Dull skin
How it works:
  • Contains Amazonian camu camu berry, which is known to have one of the highest contents of vitamin C in nature. Antioxidant vitamin C brightens skin, encourages collagen production, improves elasticity, and works along with skin-softening vitamin E to protect skin from environmental aggressors.
  • Community Trade Brazil nut oil moisturizes and softens skin.
Apply in an upward, circular motion after moisturizing for a smooth base and a healthy-looking glow.
Vitamin C Skin Boost works as a great base for make-up application as it smooth's the surface of the skin.

Product experience:
The product comes in 1 fl oz. 30 ml bottle for $27 USD comes with a pump and a tight fitting cap. To use just pump a little of the product and in the areas you want to highlight. Then follow through with your skin care routine or make up routine

Pros:
  • Blends easily and feels light on the skin
  • The product is a clear colorless gel with light diffusers floating in it.
  • Has a nice packaging and compact enough for travel.
  • You only need a small amount, half a pump to cover your entire face. In my case a lot less since I only use this to highlight my face.
  • Allows foundation to glide on to skin and blend easily.
  • Recommended for dry skin
Cons:
  • The product is misleading in some way. I felt its marketed as skin care but acts as make up. It says it contains vitamin c and other essential oils but the product just feels like my Palladio herbal foundation primer.
  • Can be easily over used where you will look greasy instead to dewy

I don't like this product, even if it is skin care. I have combination oily this is really meant for normal to dry skin. I used this product during the winter months when my skin is on a dry side and it still didn't work on skin.

I'm back sort of....

Hi Everyone,

Did you miss me??? lolz well I certainly missed you guys, as much as I love my new wonderful and beautiful baby girl. I miss doing something for myself which is trying out and reviewing make up and skin care for you guys.
Right now I'm back but maybe part time, we will see how I things work out. We don't have a set schedule for my baby surprise, surprise. So my reviews will be worked around my daughter and of course work.

I will be posting my reviews very soon, the skin care products that I have been using are is safe to use by pregnant women. I was very careful using any type of skin care during my pregnancy. I didn't want anything affecting my baby. I had to do a lot of research and stop using some products till my daughter was born. Now that she's out I will try and get back to a "normal" routine as possible
