Eyeliner review: Maybelline Eyestudio

Hi everyone

I hope your having a good start to your week, today I will reviewing a gel liner for you. I am a big fan of gel liners, they are easy to use and there is a multitude of ways to use them. They are easier to control compared to liquid eye liners and gives you the same crisp line, or can be smudge out for that smokey effect.
Today I will be reviewing the Maybelline Eyestudio gel liner.

Product Experience

I have the Maybelline Eyestudio in Blackest Black you get .106 oz or 3 g of product for $.00 you also get a round shaped liner brush that actually works. Or you can use a fine liner brush or an angled liner brush it is a matter of preference. I can use either one depending on what look I am going for. The texture is thick but the liner still glides on without tugging. The finish is a very matte black.
I've had this liner over 6 months I used it on my sugar skull look. It's dried a little bit since I first bought it but its still very creamy and is still long wearing even on hot days.

Pros:
  • Intensly dark
  • Dries to a matte black
  • The texture is creamy and glides on your lids without tugging or pulling.
  • Sets quickly but gives you enough time to smudge for that smokey effect.
  • Inexpensive
  • Widely available at any drugstore
the brush head

Cons:
  • Creased after 12 hours on a warm day.
  • Faded a little bit after 12 hours
  • Comes in four colors only
This gel eye lines is pretty good, I have not tried any high end gel eyeliners since I'm quite happy with this one. I have extremely oily lids so anything that is not longer/waterproof creases on my lids even with a primer.
