Hi Everyone,

I hope your doing well, a few weeks ago I picked up the Neutrogena MoistureSmooth color stick. I heard about some rave reviews about this product. I have been interested in trying this type of products. I think almost all brands have released their on version of lip product.

In addition, the twist up package allows for perfect application each time – with no sharpener needed.

  • Twist-up color; no sharpener needed
  • Lips feel moisturized for hours
  • Dermatologist tested
  • Available in 8 shades

swatches left to right
Sweet water melon and Juicy peach

Product Experience:

I bought the two color, one is #10 Juicy peach and #30 in sweet water melon.
The product seems very pigmented and opaque, from the packaging it looks like there is shimmer
The moisture stick apply's very easily and feels hydrating. The texture  feels very gritty on the lips I think it might be because of the shimmer. The product has decent pigmentation, I can only swear by the two I bought. The product does have a strong scent and I'm not easily annoyed by scents this one annoys me. The juicy peach smells like peach
juicy peach
Pros:
  • Comes in 8 different shades
  • Inexpensive
  • Widely available, you can purchase this product at your local pharmacy.
  • Moisturizing, doesn't feel dry on the lips.
  • It's a mechanical jumbo lipstick so it doesn't need sharpening

Cons:
sweet water melon
  • The lighter shades looks chalky/milky on the lips
  • Doesn't stay on your lips very long
  • Feels gritty on the lips
  • Contains glitter
  • Has some very annoying scent
  • The lipstick does accentuate dry flaky lips so make sure to exfoliate before you use this product.
  • The lipstick feels like it just sits on my lips and doesn't blend well.
I had such high hopes for this product but the scent coupled with the gritty texture was something I couldn't tolerate.I was some what disappointed with this product, I had such high hopes that I would like it. It just didn't do anything for me.

Neutrogena Rapid clear fight and fade 2 in 1 gel

Hi Everyone,

I hope your enjoying the school is about to end and it's finals week. Meaning stress levels just went up and through the roof. Blemishes start to pop out and amongst other things. Today I will be reviewing the rapid clear 2 in 1 fight and fade gel from Neutrogena. I ran out of my clinique spot treatment and didn't have time to go to the mall. I just dropped by my local CVS and grabbed this spot treatment.

Product Claims:
Get a unique 2-in-1 formula that reduces breakouts in 8 hours and fades the look of post-acne marks for clearer, more even toned skin. Neutrogena Rapid Clear® Fight & Fade 2-In-1 Gel is the first acne treatment clinically shown to quickly reduce breakouts in 8 hours and fade the marks acne can leave behind.

MicroClear® technology cuts through oil to quickly deliver acne-fighting salicylic acid deep into pores, which visibly reduces pimples in hours-not days. And, Glycolic Acid accelerates skin cell renewal to fade the look of post-acne marks for visible results in just one week.
  • Dermatologist tested
  • MicroClear® technology
  • Fast-absorbing gel

Product Expereince:

This like any spot treatments comes in a nice tube you get about 5 g of product. This particular brand uses salicylic acid as the main ingredients. The products comes in a clear plastic tube and the product itself has clear orange tint to it. What I do is after I have finished with my skin care routine I placed my moisturizer on I just dab some of this product on my blemishes. It's supposed to contains glycolic acid , to lighten the spot after it has healed. I also noticed that this product stings and if you place this under your moisturizer it can break down your moisturizer.

Pros:
Inexpensive and widely available
Uses salicylic acid instead of benzoyl peroxide
comes in a clear plastic tube

Cons:
The product stings!!!! when placed on your blemish
Breaks down moisturizers, place this on top of your moisturizer or let the product dry first before using your moisturizer.

I should have known better for whatever reason salicylic acid doesn't work well on me compared to benzoyl peroxide. I have stopped using this product because it just didn't work for me. I didn't notice any of my post acne spots lightening.

CLEANSER review: Oil free Acne Stress Control POWER-GEL CLEANSER

Hi everyone,

For some other reason or not I have been suffering from stress acne. Stress acne are the one that is deep underneath your skin. Bumps that is red and painful and leaves a lot of hyperpigmentation. My usual skin care routine wasn't helping much at all. So I figured I needed a much stronger cleanser preferably with benzoly peroxide. I couldn't find one at the drugstore and was even contemplating on getting pro-active. I didn't feel like waiting for my order and decided I should try Neutrogena stress acne wash. My skin and Neutrogena did not get a long. As much as I liked the acne formulation of Neutrogena it severely dries out my skin. Super dry skin means inflammation and inflammation leads to more oil production and more oil production leads to more possibility of developing more acne. Acne that I am trying to get rid off in the first and continues the vicious cycle. Sigh.
I'm currently testing this product out, I know I can't use this on a daily basis. The neutrogena line of face wash just dries my skin out. I will use it a few times a week and see if I get any results.

Product claims:
Oil-Free Acne Stress Control® Power-Gel Cleanser controls your breakouts so acne is one less stress. Unique foaming gel cleanser instantly dissolves oil, fights breakouts, and soothes skin for amazingly clear skin. So advanced, it treats acne even before it emerges.

This rich gel cleanser penetrates deep into the pores to clear skin. Its breakthrough MicroClear® technology is clinically proven to boost the delivery of acne medicine, unclogging congested pores and speeding treatment deep and fast to the source where breakouts begin. What's more, naturally derived skin-soothers, green tea and cucumber, help reduce redness and irritation, leaving skin calmer and looking stress free.
  • Non-irritating
  • MicroClear®

Product expereince:
What you get is a clear gel cleanser with a hint of green color in a clear plastic bottle with a pump. You get 6 fl oz or 177 ml for $7.49. To use pump a little of this cleanser on to my silicone scrubber and gently scrub my face. This cleanser is a little hard to wash off, I feel that some residue being left behind because my skin feels very slick, but this product does not dry out my skin as much as other Neutrogena products I have used in the past. I use this product every other day or third day alternating with my rosehip black soap. I will say that the active ingredients in this product is salisylic acid, I was looking for benzoyle for active ingredients but I think most drugstore acne systems has reformulated their products.

Pros:
A very gentle cleanser, compared to other neutrogena cleansers
Contains salisylic acid to combat acne
Widely available at drugstores, target and walmart
Price very inexpensive

Cons:
A little difficult to rinse off
Can be drying if used  on a daily basis

I like this product, this works well with my skin regimen. I love that this didn't dry out my skin like previous products I have tried from neutrogena. For some reason this doesn't do anything for my break out. I can't use this product on a daily basis since it still dries my skin.

Product review: Neutrogena make-up remover cleansing towelettes

Hi everyone,

I hope your doing well, last week we went on a trip and while shopping I decided to pick Neutrogena cleansing towelettes. I need a make up remover and has been wanting to try this brand. I got the sample pack with 7 pre-moistened towelettes.

Product claim:
Ultra soft cloths gently dissolve all traces of makeup even waterproof mascara.
Gentle, ultra soft cloths offer you superior cleansing and make-up removal
Gentle and effectively dissolve all traces of dirt, oil and make-up.
Patent pending technology is so effective it easily removes waterproof mascara.
Leaves skin thoroughly clean with no heavy residue, so theres no need to rinse.
Gentle enough to use around sensitive eye area, even for contact lens wearers.

Product experience
I used the towelettes at night and I just wipe away my eye make up, eyeliner and mascara and whatever face make I have on. It did dissolve my eye make up especially my very stubborn UD 24/7 glide on eyeliner, but it took some swiping. It didn't sting my eyes, but some parts of my face was stinging instead. Also the cloths were very scratchy.

Pros
Convenient for travelling, comes premoistened cloths and that's all you need to clean your face of any make up and dirt. No need to bring a seperate bottles of make up remover and face cleanser.
Easy to use you just need one cloth.
Price it's cheap and doesn't waste any products.
Can be purchased at target or any drugstores.

Cons:
The towelettes is very scratchy.
The cleansing product stung my skin.
The towelettes can dry out I don't know how good the packaging is on the full size since I only tried the travel pack.

I liked the convinience this product gave me but when I used it it stung my skin and the towelettes themselves were so scratchy I almost felt I was exfoliating my skin.
I don't recommend this at all.
