Hi

instructions at the back
the bottles
ORLY, a leader in professional nail care since 1975, redefines how you think about at home manicures with ORLY Color Amp'd. Watch smudges disappear with our 2-step Flexible Color system. Our innovative formula contains shock absorbing polymers allowing the finish of your manicure to bounce back, remain elastic and flex with the nail, reducing chipping. This advanced system wears for up to a week, about 88% longer than traditional manicures. ORLY Color Amp’d Color is your first step in creating a FLAWLESS manicure. Make sure to always pair with ORLY Color Amp’d Seal coat. The color and seal coat fuse together to create a durable, scratch resistant, high-shine finish that dries in less than 8 minutes. That’s 60% faster than traditional nail polish. To make application even easier, we’ve designed a higher bristle count brush that’s specifically shaped to fit the cuticle. Time to remove? Just use regular nail polish remover. You’ll want to try all 36 of our Amp’d up colors!

Product experience

You get a color and a top coat for $14.99 there are 3 shades
It's a 2 step system.
exclusive at Target
17 colors/shades $9.99

You two products the first step is the color. I have the promenade which is a very light peach. Then a clear top coat. The brush is flat, wide and has a nice curve.
The formula is opaque and creamy. I found that I can get a way with one coat but two is better. The clear top coat dries very fast
Dried fast by the time I finished painting all 10 fingers everything was dry. The dry time is affected if you layer other nail polish on top.
The top coat can take off some of the color or leave brush marks if your not careful
I tried it on a different day when I'm not gardening and just doing my usual work my polish lasted about four days then it started chipping
day 1
The formula started chipping after 1 day. Granted I was doing quite a bit of work from food prep to gardening. Didn't even make it through day two and I had chipped my nails.
day 2

Julie G candy shoppe colors

packaging
Hi Everyone
I hope your doing well, today I will be reviewing a nail polish for you. I've heard a lot of good things about the Julie G line of nail polish. This particular one caught my eye.

Candy shoppe colors jelly bean finish

one coat
Product Experience

.35 fl oz 10 mls $3.99 the color Licorice twist 70194 which is a demi matte dark grey

two coats
I liked the color on the bottle, the product needs multiple coats to achieve that nice opaque color. It does dry quickly in between coats but when you have 4 or 5 layers it will take some time to dry. The texture of the product combined with the demi matte finish enhances the uneveness in the nails. So I highly recommend using a base coat. You can use a top coat but it will alter the nice demi matte finish.
four coats

Pros

  • Dries quickly
  • Comes in a variety of colors
  • Demi matte finish
  • Easy to store comes in a tiny bottle
  • The polish feels light even with multiple coats. It doesn't feel hard or thick on the nails.
  • Lasted a good couple of days on my nails, it just showed a little bit of wear on the tips

Cons

  • has only 9 colors to choose from
  • You get a lot less product
  • Applies streaky
  • Needs a base coat or top coat because the texture and finish of polish enhances uneven nails.
  • The product has a watery consistency
  • Needs multiple coats to achieve color opacity. I think I applied 4 coats of the polish.

after 5 days, showing wear on the tips
I love the end result I just did not like the amount of work with this product. It took a lot a layering just to get the right color.

There are 45 shades available
The system is two step you just place to two coats of your nail color and then let it dry and paint on the top coat.
360 tidal wave

Pros
  • The polish has a nice wide brush
  • The product has a nice thick consistency
  • Has a nice color pay off
  • Two step system
  • Inexpensive
  • Available at Target and Riteaide

Cons
  • The tips started wearing off after 4 days and I didn't see chipping after 7 days.

The product is still good but not the best, for a two step process that does not involved curing. This nail polish lasted 6 days without chipping. I'm pretty harsh with my hands so most "long wear" nail polish only last 1 day and they chip horribly.

Nail Product review:Rimmel Salon Pro nail colour with lycra

Hi Everyone

I hope your enjoying the warm summer weather. Today I will be reviewing the Rimmel Salon pro nail polish with lycra. I get into painting my nails once in a while, I don't like to spend too much money getting a nice manicure since the mani doesn't last very long. This particular polish caught my eye since it claims to be chip free for 10 days and it had lycra.

Product Claims:

Hot shades fresh from the catwalk!
Up to 10 days chip resistant nail colour with gel shine finish!
Including 10 amazing shades created by Kate Moss
Includes our precision maxi brush for salon perfection!

Available in 15 shades

the brush
Product Experience:

I bought the colors reggae splash which is coral and purple rain which a cool toned bluerple for $2.99 you get .4 oz of product.
The varnish has a nice wide brush that has a round tip.
Day 1 had a odd chip it happens right in the middle of my nail.
Day 2 I noticed the tips of my nails wearing off. I did laundry and shredded some receipts.

purple rain

Pros:
  • Has a nice wide brush
  • Dries fast but does not cure for another few hour.
  • Inexpensive
  • Available at drugstores
reggae splash
Cons:
  • Applies really streaky
  • The consistency is creamy but has lumps
  • Needs multiple coats to get full color
  • Has an odd tacky surface even after the polish has completely dried and cured.
  • The tips of my nails started wearing off on day two
  • Peels easily
  • the polish chips in odd places
after 4 days

Unfortunately this nail polish is a fail for me, I like that this has a nice wide brush and texture of the polish nice. It just didn't live up to the 10 day claim that this will not chip.
