BB cream review: Missha M Signature Real complete BB cream

Hi everyone, I hope your having a wonderful time and enjoying the nice weather.
Today I will be reviewing the Missha M Signature Real Complete BB cream. I've been very curious with the Missha line of BB creams. I heard a lot of wonderful things about this brand of BB creams. I wanted to try the original formula but for whatever reason the product keeps going out of stock.

the product
Product claims:

Missha M Signature Real Complete BB Cream is a multi-function BB Cream with perfect coverage, has good adhesions and is long-lasting. Skin lipid which is similar to skin and paten ingredient of Amino Acid Complex strengthen Natural Moisture Factor (NMF) and balance oil and moisture on the skin to help makeup.

With fine particles by Micro multi rolling grinding technology and botanical ingredients of skin melting, it softly and lightly adheres to the skin, but with perfect coverage, leaving the skin comfortable and clean all day long.

With organic ingredients by Ecocert, natural healing complex of skin calming patent ingredient and 7 – free formula, it minimizes irritations. Containing peptide complex, gingko water and 50 kinds of botanical complex, it provides abundant moisture and nutrients to the skin to help make it healthy.

Benefits:
  • Wrinkle Repair
  • Whitening
  • UV Protection
  • Long-Lasting
  • Minimizes Irritations
  • Moisturizes
  • Nourishes
How to Apply:
Take an appropriate amount and apply a small dab to your cheeks, forehead, and chin. With the tips of your fingers spread bb cream evenly throughout your face. To avoid bb cream from caking, let sit for 5 minutes before building bb cream up for more coverage, and before apply any loose powders to set it with.
pump

Product experience:
This BB cream comes in a hard plastic tube. It has a pump and cap that fits snugly. Packing is really and well thought off. The pump however is some what of annoyance. This BB cream is meant to be stored up right so all the product pools close to pump. You get 45 g of product for $35 USD, there are 2 shades available #21 Light pink beige and #23 natural yellow beige.
The BB cream itself is thick and feels dry BB cream. It has a medium but build able coverage. So it will even out your skin tone but will not hide those really bad acne spots or sun spots. It's a dry BB cream so it's great for anyone who has combination oily skin even extremely oily skin. I have a combination oily skin but I find this BB cream to be drying. I always use a moisturizer underneath and just for added protection some type of primer that is silicone based.
This BB cream is easy to blend you can use your fingers for a fast application or use a buffing brush for a natural yet flawless coverage. I prefer to use the Samantha Chapman expert face brush with this BB cream.
I used this during one of the coldest days here in So Cal but everything held up pretty well. During winter/ cooler days I stayed oil free for 9 hours
During summer time this lasted about 4 hours by around 1 and 2 pm the hottest time of the day my nose area is very shinny and I could see a little bit of shine on my forehead and chin. The other parts of my face remained matte.
I think I can get away without applying moisturizer on my skin during summer time.

fresh swatch
Pros:
  • Comes in a hard plastic tube, pump and cap. Making this great for travel and very sanitary.
  • The texture is thick and some what dry, making this BB cream good for oily to combination oily skin. If your combination oily  make sure to moisturize first  or apply primer as this BB cream can be drying.
  • Easy to use and blends easily.
  • Contains sun protection SPF 25
  • Long wearing
  • Controls oil very well
  • Has a matte finish
Cons:
  • Needs to be stored up right or else you will struggle getting the product out.
  • Not recommended for dry skin.
  • There is only 2 color available its not a perfect match for me but its workable.
  • The BB cream clings and emphasizes dry spots
  • Can only be purchased online.
  • Will cause flash back because of the high SPF.

I like this BB cream I will continue to use it. It will be great for summer time because is long wear, controls oil and has high SPF. Recommended for oily or combination oily skin.

Skin care product review: Embryolisse Hyrda-mat Emulsion freshness care

Hi Everyone

I hope your doing well  Today I will be reviewing the product Hydra-mat Emulsion freshness care by the brand Embryolisse. I've heard about this particular brand in the beauty community. Mostly I hear about the moisturizer lait creme concentre which a moisturiser for dry to extremely dry skin. Since I don't have dry skin I'm more combination oily. I had to look for another product that would suite my skin type. Hautelook was having a sale on Embryolisse products a few months ago and decided to try this French skin care brand.

Product Claims:
Embryolisse- more than 60 years of experience of pharmaceutical skincare products
In 1950, a dermatologist at a hospital in Paris specialising in skin pathologies created Embryolisse Lait-creme concentre. It was quickly taken up by the medical profession because of its amazing effectiveness and passed on from generation to generation - sixty years later it is now a legend with millions of devotees all over the world.
  • It had formed the basis of a full range of dermo-cosmetic care products developed by laboratories Embryolisse using the same philosophy - providing the skin with its essential requirements - and maintaining the same demands in terms of effectiveness and tolerance.
  • The success of Embryolisse is based on visible results produced by the selection of natural ingredients with a long medicinal tradition (nourishing, moisturising complex rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, combining shea butter, beeswax, aloe vera and soy proteins) combined withe leading-edge dermatological active ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and collage.
  • It Acts like a nourishing sap, providing the skin with all it's essential nutriments, saturating it with water, leaving healthy, soft and toned, repulped and visibly smoothed; even the driest most sensitive skin will feel well and truly pampered.
  • Maximum tolerance - Embryolisse products are developed under pharmaceutical supervision and tested by dermatologist. To minimise the likelihood of allergy, they are formulated using a limited number of carefully selected ingredients - there are no unnecessary ingredients so that the skin is sensitised unnecessarily. There is only what is essential - quite simply.
Hydra-Mat Emulsion

The cool gelled emulsion really penetrates the skin; it is enriched with apricot oil to tone and boost skin and also contain antioxidant vitamin E.
Used in tin the morning before applying makeup, it leaves the skin very soft, smooth and perfectly matt right through the day.

Emulsion Hydra-Mat (Hydra-Mat Emulsion)

Size: 40 ml jar – 1.4 OZ
swatch
Product Experience:
When I first received the product I noticed that there is no English translation on the box. Duh it's french skin care. The products comes in a squeeze tube you get 1.4 fl oz or 40 ml regular price is $40 USD I bought mine from hautelook.com so I paid $28 USD it still on the pricey side but I really wanted to try this French skin care brand so I took the plunge.
I just take a pea size amount and spread the moisturiser evenly on to face and neck. The moisturizer feels very light on the skin. The moisturizer feels like it is easily absorbed and doesn't leave a tacky feeling like most moisturizers do. The moisturizer will hydrate your dry spots and mattify your oilyer parts
The moisturizer held up pretty well on its own, I used this during mild spring weather I was mostly in doors it kept me oil free for 6 hrs without touch ups.
In the summer or hotter weather this moisturizer kept me oil free for about 4 hours without any touch ups.

Pros:
  • Kept me oil free for most of the day.
  • The moisturizer is easily absorbed by my skin and did not leave any greasy or tacky feeling.
  • Good day time moisturizer because it can control oil for a few hours depending on your skin and weather.
  • Perfect for layering under makeup, will provide extra oil control and will help your make up last longer.
  • Does not contain any sun protection and will not cause any flash back with any flash photography.
  • It's a light cream but hydrating, I didn't feel any tight or dry spots at all.

Cons:
  • Expensive, regular price for this product is $40 USD. Try to keep an eye out for this product any discount website.
  • Does not contain any sun protection, you'll need to apply a separate sunscreen/sunblock if your using this moisturizer in the day time.
  • Can be hard to find, can be purchased online at Embryolisse.com, hautelook.com, certain specialty stores check the website for stores that carry Embryolisse products.
  • Has a mild musky scent but it's not irritating.
I like this product and it controlled my oily spots but did not accentuate my dry spots. It's a great every day moisturizer for oily girls like myself. The only issue I have with this product is the price tag. Embryolisse is expensive, so I might just use this moisturizer for special occasions to layer under make up and have a different every day moisturizer.

Skin care review: The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Booster

Hi everyone,
I hope your doing well, today I will be reviewing a product from Body shop, it is the Vitamin C skin booster. It was a gift from my sister in law, she wanted to give me something that's some what make up related but not make up at all. To be honest I don't need a shimmery base because I already have oily skin. Since it was a gift I decided to give the product a try and see if I can some how use it in my make up or skin care routine.

the product
Product claims:
The Body Shop® difference: Contains vitamin C-rich Amazonian camu camu berry and Community Trade brazil nut oil.
The camu camu berry grows on small trees in the Peruvian Amazon region and is known to have one of the highest contents of vitamin C in nature.
Our brazil nut oil comes from Candela in the Amazon region of Peru. Trade with our suppliers provides a vital source of income for the women who are employed as nut-crackers.
Instant smoothing radiance with vitamin C rich Amazonian camu camu and community trade brazil but oil.
Best if you want to: Create instant smoothing radiance with a silky smooth finish. It's an ideal skin pick-me-up to enhance your glow and our favorite Vitamin C product!
Best for: Dull skin
How it works:
  • Contains Amazonian camu camu berry, which is known to have one of the highest contents of vitamin C in nature. Antioxidant vitamin C brightens skin, encourages collagen production, improves elasticity, and works along with skin-softening vitamin E to protect skin from environmental aggressors.
  • Community Trade Brazil nut oil moisturizes and softens skin.
Apply in an upward, circular motion after moisturizing for a smooth base and a healthy-looking glow.
Vitamin C Skin Boost works as a great base for make-up application as it smooth's the surface of the skin.
product sample

Product experience:
The product comes in 1 fl oz. 30 ml bottle for $27 USD comes with a pump and a tight fitting cap. To use just pump a little of the product and in the areas you want to highlight. Then follow through with your skin care routine or make up routine

Pros:
  • Blends easily and feels light on the skin
  • The product is a clear colorless gel with light diffusers floating in it.
  • Has a nice packaging and compact enough for travel.
  • You only need a small amount, half a pump to cover your entire face. In my case a lot less since I only use this to highlight my face.
  • Allows foundation to glide on to skin and blend easily.
  • Recommended for dry skin
Cons:
  • The product is misleading in some way. I felt its marketed as skin care but acts as make up. It says it contains vitamin c and other essential oils but the product just feels like my Palladio herbal foundation primer.
  • Can be easily over used where you will look greasy instead to dewy

I don't like this product, even if it is skin care. I have combination oily this is really meant for normal to dry skin. I used this product during the winter months when my skin is on a dry side and it still didn't work on skin.

I'm back sort of....

Hi Everyone,

Did you miss me??? lolz well I certainly missed you guys, as much as I love my new wonderful and beautiful baby girl. I miss doing something for myself which is trying out and reviewing make up and skin care for you guys.
Right now I'm back but maybe part time, we will see how I things work out. We don't have a set schedule for my baby surprise, surprise. So my reviews will be worked around my daughter and of course work.

I will be posting my reviews very soon, the skin care products that I have been using are is safe to use by pregnant women. I was very careful using any type of skin care during my pregnancy. I didn't want anything affecting my baby. I had to do a lot of research and stop using some products till my daughter was born. Now that she's out I will try and get back to a "normal" routine as possible

A little haitus

Hi everyone,

I hope your doing well I just want to let you guys know I'm going on a little haitus starting in July and maybe ending some time in October depending on how things work out.
I will be having my baby pretty soon and I just want to focus on my well being and taking care of my new baby. This is my first child and I know that my life will never be the same. The past couple of months has been a roller coaster ride for me. A lot of changes has happened physically, mentally and emotionally. I was not expecting to have a baby so soon, the plan was after 5 years but I was given a baby earlier than expected. There is no going back the moment of conception.
It reminds me of a joke i used to tell my  pre-nursing classmates, "there should be a refund policy for kids" but alas. Having a baby is a life long commitment be it planned or unplanned. It doesn't even matter when the child comes of age and by law considered as an adult. A child is a life long commitment financially and emotionally. I will jumping into my new role as a mother very soon depends on when baby decides to come out. I hope sooner rather than later. Fingers crossed everything will come out okay and I don't have a lot complications.

I will try and get back to reviewing skin care and make up for your as soon as I can. More like when I have a good schedule of feedings, bath, diaper changes, doctor visits and family visits with baby.

Be back soon
XOXO

Eye shadow review: No 7 Stay Perfect Perfect smoothing eye shadows

Hi Everyone,

I hope your having a good start to your day, today I will be reviewing the cream shadow from the Brand No. 7. Drugstores brands are now starting to come up with excellent cream eye shadow that rivals the quality of high end make up with out the price.
I've seen the brand No. 7 at Target for a while but had not picked up any products. Since I have subscribed to Lisa Eldriged make up artist extraordinaire on YouTube. I've been curious with the brand, Lisa Eldriged helped create a lot of the products and colors in this brand.

No 7 Stay perfect Smoothing Eye shadow

Product Claims:
This smooth, cream eye shadow delivers luminescence and a sheer wash of color. Easy to apply – eye color dries slowly on the eyelid, making it easy to blend.

How To Use: Apply using fingertips and blend to create the desired effect. A brush may be used for more precise definition.
.14 oz.
there are 6 colors available

left to right
top shades Bronze, nude, pewter
bottom shades pale green and pretty pink

Product Experience:
I bought the nude and bronze shade, the product comes in a clear plastic tube with a doe foot wand. You get .14 oz. of product for $6.99.
The product is nice and creamy and very pigmented, it blends easily. It does have a much slower drying time so you have plenty of time to blend. Some times I feel it sets too slow I end up over blending and loosing a lot of color and intensity. Once it's set it will not budge unless you use a make up remover. The color lasts for more than 8 hours.

cream shadows blended out

Pros
  • A little goes a long way.
  • Color can be easily built up.
  • Blends easily.
  • Highly pigmented.
  • Cream shadow has a soft, smooth and very light texture. I will say its got a whipped mousse like texture.
  • Feels very light on the skin, not greasy or drying.
  • Dries on the slow side so you have a lot of time to blend.
  • Once dry it is budge proof.
  • Great to use as a eye shadow base to make colors pop or used alone to add definition to your eyes.
  • Can be easily taken off with soap and water or any make up remover.
  • Has a nice compact packaging good for travel and doesn't take a lot of room.
  • Available at every Target store.
  • Inexpensive.
Cons
  • There are only 6 colors available.
  • Has a doe foot wand applicator and can be unsanitary but for personal use it okay.
  • All cream shadows have a shimmery finish, the nude shade has a satin finish.
  • Cream shadow will flake off if you used too much, but can be prevented if you apply an even and thin layer.

I like this cream shadow I think it's one the best in the drugstore, it IS worth looking into. The line doesn't have a lot colors and finishes available but you have the basic colors that you need to create a look. Hopefully the brand will expand the line of cream eye shadows.

Eye liner review: Physicians Formula custome eye enhancing eye linertrio Nude Collection

Hi Everyone,

I hope your having a wonderful week, today I will be reviewing the Physicians Formula eyeliner. Physicians formula is well known for mineral make up at drugstore prices. Physician's formula focus mostly of face products from powders, bronzers, some foundations and a few eye products. Today I will be reviewing the Physicians Formula customeye enhancing eyeliner trio in Nude.
front of the box

I have a very high standard when it comes to eyeliners, I love my Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on eyeliners. To give a brief background I have asian eyes and they are semi hooded typical of most Asians and I also have very oily eyelids so eyeshadows crease and disappear on my eyelids and eyeliners migrate down and give me raccoon eyes
the back of the box

what am I looking for in an eyeliner?
I want a very creamy, smooth eyeliner, when I use the eyeliner, it should just glide over my eyelids or waterline with out tugging.
I want a very pigmented eyeliner, I want a rich colored eyeliner that I don't need to build up to get any color.
I want an eyeliner that stays put but smudgeable. I don't want an eyeliner traveling down my eyes making me look like a raccoon by the end of the day.
I would like a wide selection of colors other than the basics which is  black, navy, dark brown and white. It's not a deal breaker but it's nice to have.
I have a high expectations when it comes to eyeliner it has to perform well

Physician's formula eye enhancing eyeliner trio in nude

Product claims:
Warm Nude Eyeliner Trio! The perfect set of earth tone eyeliners to create a Warm Nude look for ANY eye color!
Long-wearing, water-resistant and smudge-resistant formula for 24-Hour wear.
Hypoallergenic. Fragrance-free. Paraben-Free. Gluten Free. Dermatologist approved. Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

Product experience:

You get 3 automatic eyeliners in set, I bought the nude eyes, so in this set it has a champagne, a pewter and a shimmery black. These are automatic eye liners, meaning you don't need to sharpen them you just twist the bottom and the eyeliner will come up it also comes with a sharpener at the bottom of the pencil.
The formula of the eyeliners can be hit or miss, out of the three the black eyeliner is the creamiest. The other two are much drier in texture and needs a few passes to get any color intensity.

dark brown, champagne, black

Pros:
  • You get a set of 3 different colored eyeliner.
  • Automatic pencil liner never need sharpening.
  • Comes with a built in sharpener.
  • Great for the water line because of the drier texture
  • It's comfortable to wear
  • Widely available at most drugstores, walmart and target
  • Inexpensive even though Physicians formula is on the higher end of the drugstore brand.

Cons:
  • The quality is hit or miss some of the eyeliner is too hard and dry, it will tug on your eyelids
  • Some of colors can be deceiving especially the champagne color, it's more a light taupe than a champagne.
  • Some of eyeliner doesn't have a lot of pigment so you will need to swipe the liner a few times to get the desired effect.
I'm on the fence about this particular product, like I said the quality isn't exceptional but it's not bad either. I got the most use is the black eyeliner just because it's the creamiest liner in the group.
