Asian Skin care review: Cure Aqua Gel

Hi everyone,

Finally after a long wait and after searching high and low. I finally found sample packs of Cure. Well your probably thinking what is great about this exfoliator. Well this exfoliator is very gentle and this particular exfoliant does not contain any beads or crushed particles floating around a thick gel or cream. With that in mind I wanted to try the product for myself, I just didn't think that finding sample packs of Cure would be a little difficult. I also didn't want to purchase the full size product since I was not sure if will work for me.

sample packs of Cure liquid gel, each sachet has 3 gram of product
and you get a set of 5 pcs

Product claims:

  • For more info go the website http://www.japalang.sg/cure/About_Cure.html they have a list of ingredients and every possible information about cure. They also give your free sample of cure for those living in Singapore.

Sample of the product, it's a clear gel but does wonders

    Product Experience:
The product comes in two sizes the full size bottle of 250 ml between price of $35 to $55 USD, the full size bottle comes in a clear bottle with a pump. The sample sachets which contains 3 g of product and you get a set of 5. The product itself is just clear colorless gel.
After my usual cleansing routine.I just gently spread a sachet of Cure all over my face and neck, I let it sit on my skin for a few seconds and gently rub my skin in circular motion. I saw the product work immediately. This white balls started forming, I am assuming are dead skin cells. Started dropping down from my face. There will come a point when the little balls will no longer form no matter how much you rub. Then you know it's time to rinse your face.
This product got around the areas that is hard to reach or neglected areas, like around the sides of my mouth, the patch of skin between my eyebrows and chin.
    dead skin cells getting exfoliated
    Pros:
    • A true non-abrasive, non-acid based exfoliator and non irritating.
    • Easy to use and will not over exfoliate your skin.
    • Very potent the 3 g that is in the sachet was enough to cover my face and neck area.
    • Can be used with any skin regimen without massive side effects like break outs, rashes and any sort of inflammation.
    • Comes in an a clear plastic bottle with a pump or little sachets.
    • Can be used at other part of the body such as elbow, neck or knees.
    Cons:
    • Expensive you need to shop around for the best price, sample packs cost $9.99 USD for a set of five, Full size bottle 250 ml can cost anywhere between$ 35 to $55 USD depending on where you purchase.
    • Difficult to find in the US
    • Can only be purchased online or maybe specialty stores.
    Hints
Samples of the product can only be obtained for free if you live in Singapore. U.S. residents have to purchase online. www.yesstyle.com sells the full size and sample size, www.imomoko.com and www.amazon.com sells the full size bottle.

    some tips :)
I find that cure works best on dry skin, so after cleansing just make sure you take off as much moisture on your skin. You will find a lot more of those tiny white balls forming on your face.

I love this product, it's so easy to use and does what is claims to do. I felt my skin was so much softer. It's a product that is worth buying and worth every penny. After I finished my sample packs I decided to purchase the full size bottle.

    Website Review: Pretty and cute.com

    Hi Everyone,

I hope your all doing well and enjoying the cool Fall weather. So Cal has doesn't transform very much but I can still smell and feel Fall in the air. I love Fall for me it's one of my favorite seasons besides Summer. Fall is the time of transition where the tree leaves start to change color from green to the amber. The weather gets much cooler without being harsh and my favorite holiday Thanksgiving.

Today I will be reviewing a website for you, I know I'm obsessed with memberships and Asian beauty and skin care products. I lived in Asia for most of my life, even though I currently live in So Cal now. I still want those things that reminds me of home, also my skin has changed dramatically in a few years so the American drug store products although cheap I feel doesn't help my skin as much anymore. You can't always get the best deal from one website and I have to look around to get the items that I need. Asian skin care and beauty products can be pricey and sample sizes are hard to find. Majority of my time is spent looking for sample products either on sale or being given away. I like to test items out first and samples are great since I won't have to spend a lot of money on an item that might break me out or do other worse things on my skin.

Today I signed up for the website Prettyandcute.com, it is a Korean and Japanese beauty boutique

    How to Sign up:

It's easy and just like any website you just go to prettyandcute.com and click on sign up. to set up an account which is easy. It will ask you for basic information, email address, name, billing address, shipping address etc just set up a password and wait for a confirmation email and you are set to shop.
Signing up is not necessary for this company you can sign in your own account using twitter, facebook or google.

    Products and what nots:

This website only sells Asian beauty and skin care products. What I mean by beauty products is that they have Asian brand make up from eye make up, BB creams, lipstick to eyeliners. They also carry items that I think only Asian would be interested in like the Y tool to create the double lid look. They now carry skin care items from cleansers, toners and mask. They have brands such as Lioele, Tony moly, My beauty diary, skin 79 etc. There is not a wide variety of brands on this website but they are slowly starting to branch out and carry other popular brands.

    Shipping, handling and customer service

This website has a 3 different shipping methods typical of any websites, there is economy usual 8 to 10 day delivery, 3 day rush and over night delivery.
There is an available customer service representative for live chat for any questions you have. If you have any questions you can send them an email at inquiry@prettyandcute.com Right now if you live in the states you can avail of their free shipping all you need to do is spend $50 of more and for people who live in Canada a minimum of $100.
A few hours after my order has been placed I already received an order confirmation and a few hrs after that a shipping confirmation was sent to my email. My products was shipped via united states postal service so tracking my package was a little annoying. I received my package in a weeks time which not bad, considering I waited over 3 weeks for my stuff to get shipped through yesstyle.com

    Method of Payments:

This website is one of the few websites that allows express checkouts using paypal or your credit card. If you have a paypal account you don't even need to sign-up for an account with the company.
You also can sign in using your facebook or twitter account but I myself don't feel comfortable using that method.

    Issues and other stuff

When I first signed up with this website I noticed they only carry a few Asia brands. My main goal was to gain a sample of Lioele BB cream. I know Imomoko sells the full size product and after having a reaction with skin 79 or legere BB cream I am more determined to find samples of this products. Unfortunately only certain websites carry the sample and prettyandcute has the samples that I want. They have promo right now where you can obtain 3 pc sample of different brands of BB creams for $3.00 or 3 pc sample of the same brand for $2.50
I noticed that of all the other websites, prettyandcute.com has a lot of products that is out of stock. In my case it was okay because I have other websites that I can go to, in order to try out the the products.
Also the company is trying to branch out to other brands and skin care products. They don't have the big selection like Imomoko and yesstyle but they are starting sell sample size of popular items.
When I received my purchases I received a little business card from prettyandcute.com. They are based here in the US their address is 18809 SE McLoughlin Blvd Portland, OR 97267 USA tel. 1-503-964-5207. Shop walk-in hours Sunday through Thursday 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm PST

    My haul
my haul including some freebies :)
Since it's my first time purchasing from this site I was a little leery from my experience with yesstyle.com. So far so good so I purchased the 3 pc sample, I bought the Lioele beyond the solutions BB cream, Lioele triple the solutions BB cream, and holika-holika water march moisture green full cream BB cream. Etude house skin: Mal gem in smoother, Koji eyelash curler in wide curve, DUP eyelash glue in rubber and Holika holika Pig-nose clear blackhead 3- step kit. Since this company is based here in the US I didn't get hit with duty tax and international purchase fee. Shipping is so much faster even though I chose the economy which is 8-10 businesses days.

I do like the this website and it is reputable, you receive your order in a timely manner. Even though shipping through USPS postal can be annoying. It is just hard to track your packages online. Having to wait 8 to days for your purchases to arrive is decent. I am starting to compile a list of items I am intending to purchase.

Asian skincare review: Skin Food Brown sugar scrub

    Hi everyone,

I hope your having a good start to your week enjoying the much cooler weather. Today I will review, skin food sugar scrub. I recieved a free sample pack when I purchased a bunch of mask at the Skin food store here in So Cal.

Skin food is a Korean brand skin care and make up company. This brand boast it self for being made with all natural products. Making them good for you and good for your skin. Skin food was a wide range of products to choose from from whitening systems, gel mask, toners and make up.

    sample packet

    Product claims
Moisturizing and exfoliating wash off scrub mask with minerals, vitamins and glycolic acid. Cleanses and revitalizes the skin.
A leave-on mask with generous moisturizing and effective exfoliating ingredients. Grainy sugar granules slough off excess oil and grime, while a self-heating formula opens up pores, allowing skin to fully absorb the rich minerals and vitamins. After cleansing, gently rub mask all over face, leave mask on for 10-15 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. Experience renewed luster and softness immediately after use. By Skinfood.
Black sugar mask with rich minerals and vitamin to provide luster and smoothness to skin.
    How to Use:
    Apply evenly after cleansing.
    Avoid eye and mouth area.
    Gently scrub adding water frequently.
    Wash off with lukewarm water.
    Pack Size - 100g

    a nice thick scrub

    Product expereince:
This scrub uses brown sugar as an exfoliant. That way there is no chance of over exfoliating with the sugar scrub because sugar dissolves with water. The scrub has a thick dark brown consistency. When you first put it on and massage your face the sugar is on the sharp side and but the sugar dissolves rather quickly and your left with the cleanser and a sweet scent that washes off cleanly.

    Pros:
    A natural product.
The sugar in the the scrub prevents over exfoliating.
    A nice sweet smelling scent

    Cons:
The sugar granules can be sharp.
    Can cause break outs.
Can only be purchased at skin food store or online at imomoko.com, sasa.com, yesstyle.com etc
    Expensive I think for a full size it cost $16.95 a 100 g tub
    Black Sugar Mask Wash Off
    full size tub

Initially I liked this product, it has a nice thick consistency made me feel that it is very hydrating. I liked that I sugar granules dissolve in time and I did not end up over scrubbing my skin. I think the consistency of the scrub is great but it broke me out so I can't fully recommend this product.

    Beauty haul from the Philippines

    Hi Everyone,

I hope your doing well, so this is what I manage to snag/shop while I was on vacation on the beautiful island of the Philippines. I wanted to do more shopping but wasn't able to because of bad timing. The it's monsoon and typhoon season there and it's always raining. Anyway I tried to purchase some local products and was given a few local hand made soaps as well. Here are the stuff I managed to bring with me and caused to be close to be over weight with my luggage.

    Add caption
Poppy plush soap from V & M naturals
    Ponds white beauty detox lotion
Ponds white beauty pinkish white lightening lotion
Etude house Black Head Remover Dual Sheet
    Etude house Greentea Nose pack
    Etude house face mask
Etude house happy essential foam with hyaluronic acid
Etude house skin Mal:gam facial mask sheets
Laneige water sleeping pack face cream (sample)
    Khiel's Ultra facial oil-free gel cream(sample)
Tony Moly Lovely peach hand mask

    Ilog Maria hand made soaps
Tony Moly 3 point eye brown pen
I wish I was able to do more shopping for face products more towards the local brand but I tried a few and I wasn't impressed with the local brands I tried. Korean brand make up and skin care is starting to become popular and stores are starting to pop up around the malls. I brought my own make up that I didn't bother using the weather was hot and humid and I didn't feel like piling on more stuff on my skin. I made sure I have on a moisturizer and sunscreen combo and that's it. I didn't get sunburned or get any breakouts while in the Philippines even though I was washing twice a day that can dry out skin.
I will give you guys a review soon on how some of this products worked for me. If you have any questions just leave a comment and I will answer your questions as soon as I can.

    website review: YESSTYLE.COM

    Hi everyone,

How are you today? I hope your enjoying the warm So Cal weather. I have signed up with yesstyle.com I heard about this website through frmheadtotoe who is a makeup/beauty guru on YouTube. She bought a Japanese skincare product from this website. Like I said on the previous blogs I'm also looking for good Asian skin care and make up products. Mostly I'm looking for sample packs to try. Asian beauty products are on the expensive side and I want to make sure that I don't have bad reaction from the products and waste money on a something I can't use.

    How to sign-up
Signing up is relatively easy and fast. It's pretty much the same for any website. It's free to sign up and you also gain beauty points as you purchase items. Beauty points are purchase points that you gain at any purchase, you get some freebies and more discounts. So to sign up just go to yesstyle.com and click on the link sign up. It will ask for basic info like email address, name, home and mailing address etc. Wait for a reply email from the website and start shopping.

    Products and then some
Yesstyle.com sells a lot of items on their the website. They have women's cloths, shoes, make up and beauty products. Yesstyle focus mostly on Asian products from Japanese to Korean and even some European skin care and make up. I signed up to this site mostly because I wanted to try Japanese skin care. I'm also looking for a good bargain price for a really good exfoliant called Cure. So far I have only seen this brand in two websites. Yesstyle.com is the only one that has sample packs that you can purchase but the full size product is still a little expensive.
The product is from mid-range to high end products. They have the popular brands such as clinique, lamer, khiels, clarins etc. There is a good variety of brands to choose from.

    Prices
Most of the products here start at $10 to a few hundred dollars depending on brand and the kit. Price wise this site is not the most competitive sometimes this website can be more expensive. I think for brands that is available here in the US such as Biore, Neutrogena, Clinique, skin food etc I will find a cheaper price here in So Cal. But I find I want to try their products as well because most of the product is geared towards Asian market. So the products tend to be different in formulation and certain products are available only in Asia. Also some of the European drugstore/highstreet brand like Bourjois are expensive. So you really have to do your research that way you don't spend too much on an items that supposedly be inexpensive.

    Promos
Right now they have a promo where if you purchase $59 or more you get a sample of lenaige products. I think they will also ship any items for free if you spend $75 to $149.99.

    My haul
Bourjois micelles cleansing water, Cure natural aqua gel packs 3g 5 pieces, Avene clean-AC hydrating soothing adjunctive care (for blemish prone sensitive skin)stylus as a free gift.

    Shipping, other fees and headaches
The shipping rate for the US is a flat rate USD $9.99 for any purchases under $150 and anything over USD $150 shipping is free.
Shipping here is on the slow side, they will not ship your order unless everything is available. They don't ship items separately like other websites. They also have some shipping limitations. They will not ship certain products in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia and Russian Federation.
I also encountered another issue, my shipping was delayed because of a clearance issue. I didn't realize that my purchases would be coming from Hongkong. My purchases was stuck at customs for 4 days waiting for the clearance. FedEx even went as far as to contact me regarding my my shipment to obtain necessary information. I had to contact customer service from yesstyle so they could forward the information that was needed.
If your from the US you might get hit by a charge called a yesstyle conventy charge it's $1.89 for international transaction fee. Just a head's up for those who are interested in signing up. Your charges will not reflect until yesstyle ships you products so bear that in mind if your making any purchases that is on order.
Weeks after recieving my purchases that I get hit but a very incovinient duty tax. I was being charge $20 by FedEx because I purchased items abroad. So beware if you purchasing any items online

    Customer Service, product return policy
Unfortunately yesstyle does not have the greatest refund/exchange policy.First you have contact costumer service for any return or exchanges. For clothing and beauty products I think you can return them with in 14 days. Jewelry can only returned for repairs if the item is defective. You will be charged the shipping for returns.
I had to contact customer service because of the some clearance issue with my shipment. I would say customer service acted promptly. I sent them an email in the afternoon, I figure there would be a time difference so over night I recieved 2 emails from yesstyle. One from customer service letting me know they recieved my complaint and the second email coming from logistics. All in all I was happy with customer service and prompt reply and and prompt action but I think this could have been prevented if the packaging information was properly done.

As much as I liked the products I have purchased I think this will be the last time I will purchase from yesstyle. I have been shopping online for a long time and had never had some issue for any purchases. Even after you have recieved your purchases your will still have other headaches.

my purchases from yesstyle, I'm excited to use the Cure agua gels
