HAIR CARE review: One N' Only ARGAN OIL MOISTURE REPAIR SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER

I hope your having a wonderful weekend. Today I will be reviewing the brand One N' Only Argan oil moisture repair shampoo and conditioner.
I bought this shampoo and conditioner at Sally's beauty supply a few months ago. What intrigued me was this shampoo and conditioner was infused with Argan oil. Argan oil is hitting the beauty world by storm because its super hydrating and multitude of uses.
My hair is very dry, typical for anyone who has curly hair. I was always disappointed with the drugstore brand of shampoo and conditioner no matter which one I use my hair felt very frizzy. Like it was electrocuted and all my hair was just standing up.

Product experience:

I shampoo and condition my hair about 3 times a week and I try to use a deep conditioning masque but I get lazy and just don't do it, or I don't have time to do a 30 min masque because we have our weekends fully booked. Sigh. I didn't know being married would take away all my beauty time. Anyway this brand of shampoo does not lather very much, keep that in mind so you don't use too much product. Yes! it takes a little bit of getting use to but it will clean your scalp and your hair. I like that this shampoo rinses clean, I don't feel that it leaves a lot of residue behind and it makes my hair nice and soft and it smells nice.

The conditioner is not the most moisturizing conditioner but it does the job for every day needs. Keeps my hair from freezing up too much, it's curly hair unless you use a ton of hair oil ( I know this because I used to use coconut oil on my hair to tame tangles, not a very pleasant scent) it will be frizzy at the first sign of humidity.
I think I paid $12 for each Sally's beauty supply was having a sale at that time, the kind I got was fundraising for breast cancer. It's a good price for good amount of product that performs really well.

Not the most moisturizing conditioner but will do for daily use.

I like this product but I'm not in love with it, I'm still looking for that shampoo and conditioner combo that will make my hair soft and silky smooth and my curls bouncy.

Asian skincare review: Skin Food Brown sugar scrub

I hope your having a good start to your week enjoying the much cooler weather. Today I will review, skin food sugar scrub. I recieved a free sample pack when I purchased a bunch of mask at the Skin food store here in So Cal.

Skin food is a Korean brand skin care and make up company. This brand boast it self for being made with all natural products. Making them good for you and good for your skin. Skin food was a wide range of products to choose from from whitening systems, gel mask, toners and make up.

Product claims

Product expereince:
This scrub uses brown sugar as an exfoliant. That way there is no chance of over exfoliating with the sugar scrub because sugar dissolves with water. The scrub has a thick dark brown consistency. When you first put it on and massage your face the sugar is on the sharp side and but the sugar dissolves rather quickly and your left with the cleanser and a sweet scent that washes off cleanly.

Pros:
A natural product.
The sugar in the the scrub prevents over exfoliating.
A nice sweet smelling scent

Cons:
The sugar granules can be sharp.
Can cause break outs.

Initially I liked this product, it has a nice thick consistency made me feel that it is very hydrating. I liked that I sugar granules dissolve in time and I did not end up over scrubbing my skin. I think the consistency of the scrub is great but it broke me out so I can't fully recommend this product.

Product experience:
I use it on my acne that is popping out and any discoloration that I have at night. Since this product has tamanu oil, it has the same weird smell. I realised I couldn't use this in the morning fearing people at work might smell it on me and the product does not cont. It's a great creme product that is easily absorbed by my skin. I also use this product on any minor irritations that I have.

I love the convenience of this product to spot treat acne, the main reason I bought this product for. So I don't have to use tamanu oil all over my face. it's a good moisturizer but I still much prefer my argan oil.

product review: Rose hips black soap deep pore facial wash and mask

Here is another review from my skin care routine blog, the product is one of the skin cleanser that I have been using. Before I use only drugstore products, it was okay for a while but I didn't notice that the products that I was using was dehydrating my skin. I thought it was normal because I mainly use products that has benzoyl peroxide in them and that can dry out your skin. A few years ago I noticed that the dryness got worse and I mean it was really bad. My skin hasn't had the chance to dry completely after washing and my skin it felt very tight and very dry. This cleanser leaves my skin looking bright and clean with out the tight, drying feeling that regular drugstore cleansers.

This oil is amazing I purchased it not knowing anything about the oil. I must say I was impressed and this oil has a multitude of uses.

Product claims:

It has an amazing ability to help promote the formation of new tissue. Several studies are available to show that large, impossible to treat wounds were successfully treated with several applications of tamanu oil.

Slightly waxy, this curry fragrant oil helps skin to repair itself from external damage, fighting off free radical scavengers while improving the tone and elasticity of the skin. The first time I used this oil I was put off first it has a very musty scent that I disliked the oil has a thicker consistency with a yellow tinge to it. It's consistency is similar to olive oil but olive oil smells better. Because of the scent I only use this product at night. That way I'm not conscious when I meet people at work. Tamanu oil works wonders on my acne and used it to treat some minor burns I got from cooking.

product review: Moroccan Argan oil

I'm so excited about this next oil that I am going to review for you, it's 100% all natural and unrefined Argan oil. Now I know there are plenty of argan oil in the market and all claim they are authentic argan oil but have to stopped and looked at the ingredients listed in the back label? The argan oil like the kalahari ootanga oil is a dry oil, but don't be fooled is does moisturise well and leaves your skin moisturized for hours. When I wake up in the morning my skin feels moisturized. My hair feels soft and seals in moisture.

product review: Kalahari Ootanga Oil

Back again for more beauty reviews, this time I'm going to focus on the items I'm currently using on my skin care routine.
I came across this oil because I was looking for a good moisturizer. My skin has changed drastically since my 20's. I always had oily combination skin that frustrated me so much. A few years ago I noticed that my regular moisturizer was not working as well. It was leaving my skin so dry and tight even after I have massaged the moisturizer on. I know what were supposed to switch moisturizer depending on the season. I usually use a lighter moisturizer in the summer and a more hydrating moisturizer in the winter. The oil doesn't have a fragrance in it, it does smell nutty it's because it's a cold pressed 100% certified pure oil.
I have used it as a make up remover and it does break down face make up, heavy duty eye liner like my urban decay 24/7.
