Eye liner review :NYX studio liquid eyeliner

Hi Everyone

I hope your enjoying the very mild summer weather. Today I will be reviewing the NYX studio liquid eyeliner. Lately I've been loving a bright pop of color on the eyelids. I love that the looks allows me to play with color and still look polish.
packaging

ink well and brush

Product experience:

Comes in a tube you get 0.19 fl oz of product for $4.50. I have the color extreme blue. Has a very shimmer bright blue finish. Inkwell type of eyeliner with a very fine bristle brush.

Pros:
  • Very pigmented, vibrant color, what you see in the tube is the color your gonna get
  • Build-able
  • Has a nice very thin, stiff but flexible brush
  • Inexpensive
  • On the website there are 12 colors
  • Does not stain the skin
  • Can be easily taken off with soap and water
  • Available at target and CVS
swatches

Cons:
  • Comes in shimmery finish
  • Can be a little messy, the product has a wet formula that easily transfers upon application. It needs a few seconds to set.
  • Does not last very long, this only lasted a couple of hours on a bare eye lid. Does not claim to be a long last product
  • Wears really patchy through out the day.
  • Not recommended for anyone with oily eyelids, or to used at the lower lash line
  • I noticed a lot  of flakes around a my eye area thought the day
  • Needs to be reapplied throughout the day to maintain a nice crisp line
  • In order to for the liner to last you need to prep your eyelids. Depending on your look a primer is a must then set the liner with a corresponding eye shadow and the liner will last without touch ups.
liner without primer

I like this product because of the nice cobalt blue color. It does need some work getting the product to last but I think it's worth it.

Nail Product review:Rimmel Salon Pro nail colour with lycra

Hi Everyone

I hope your enjoying the warm summer weather. Today I will be reviewing the Rimmel Salon pro nail polish with lycra. I get into painting my nails once in a while, I don't like to spend too much money getting a nice manicure since the mani doesn't last very long. This particular polish caught my eye since it claims to be chip free for 10 days and it had lycra.

Product Claims:

Hot shades fresh from the catwalk!
Up to 10 days chip resistant nail colour with gel shine finish!
Including 10 amazing shades created by Kate Moss
Includes our precision maxi brush for salon perfection!

Available in 15 shades

the brush
Product Experience:

I bought the colors reggae splash which is coral and purple rain which a cool toned bluerple for $2.99 you get .4 oz of product.
The varnish has a nice wide brush that has a round tip.
Day 1 had a odd chip it happens right in the middle of my nail.
Day 2 I noticed the tips of my nails wearing off. I did laundry and shredded some receipts.

purple rain

Pros:
  • Has a nice wide brush
  • Dries fast but does not cure for another few hour.
  • Inexpensive
  • Available at drugstores
reggae splash
Cons:
  • Applies really streaky
  • The consistency is creamy but has lumps
  • Needs multiple coats to get full color
  • Has an odd tacky surface even after the polish has completely dried and cured.
  • The tips of my nails started wearing off on day two
  • Peels easily
  • the polish chips in odd places
after 4 days

Unfortunately this nail polish is a fail for me, I like that this has a nice wide brush and texture of the polish nice. It just didn't live up to the 10 day claim that this will not chip.

Eye make up review: NYX Jumbo eye pencils

Hi Everyone

I hope your doing well, today I will be reviewing the NYX jumbo eye pencils, I have heard so many good things about this particular product that I wanted to try it. I still love my Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on jumbo eye pencils but this product is on the pricey side. I have not seen this product on sale anywhere.

Product Claims:
A radiant eye liner that also doubles as an eye shadow. Made with a blend of mineral oil and powder, our creamy Jumbo Eye Pencils glide on effortlessly—no pulling, tugging or fading—and come in a rainbow of vivid hues. Some call her chubby. We say voluptuous. Available in 32 shades.

Product Experience:
The product comes in jumbo pencil form it does need sharpening, very easy and intuitive to use I paid $4.50 for each. I bought the colors Milk which is matte opaque white color, Strawberry milk which is a shimmery medium pink.

swatches strawberry milk and milk
Pros:
  • The product is very inexpensive.
  • Intuitive and easy to use
  • The product comes in a wide variety of colors and finishes to choose from.
  • Compact, it doesn't take a lot of room and it's easy to store and easy to travel with.
  • Can be used as a base to allow the true colors of the eye shadows to show
  • Can be used tacky primer for loose pigments, pressed eye shadows etc.
  • Availability NYX is now available at Target stores. You can purchase NYX products at Ulta, some 99 cent store, Sears online at NYX.com, Ulta.com, makeupgeek.com etc.
Cons:
  • Needs sharpening, this is not a mechanical pencil
  • Cant be used alone, creases very quickly so you need to use a good eye shadow base plus set the product with a matching eye shadow.
This is an okay product, the product itself has nice pigmentation that makes it great as a base. If worn alone it will crease. There is also a lot of prep work in order to make this product last. From using another separate eye primer and making to setting the eyes with eye shadow.

Eye make up review: Jordana 12 hr made to last eye shadow pencil

Hi everyone,
I hope your enjoying the weather, Today I will be reviewing the Jordana eye shadow pencils. I think just about every company from drugstore to high end is realizing their version of long wear eye shadow pencils. This forms of eye shadows are very convinient, easy to use and usually the formula is long lasting

Product claims:

Paraben-Free
Made in Germany
NET WT 0.10 OZ /2.8 g

Swatches from left to right
Stay on black, Continuous Almond, Tenacious brown
Product experience
The product comes in a pen style, you get 0.10 g of product for $3.99. To use just swipe this across your kids and blend with either a blending brush or fingers.
I bought the colors black, brown and almond. It comes in two finishes shimmery and matte and has 8 different colors. I bought the one that has a matte finish because those are hard to come by.

Pros:
Easy to use, very intuitive because of the pencil style packaging
Comes in two finishes matte and shimmery.
Comes with basic shades like black, brown, white and skin tone and fun shades like purple, green and pink.
Inexpensive
Available at Walgreens

Cons:
Limited color selection
Dries very quickly
Hit and miss with the consistency of the product, I found that the brown very dry and hard to blend and the black very creamy that I had to set it with a powder to keep from creasing.

I had such high hopes for this product,  I love my Urban Decay 24/7 jumbo pencils. In the end this brand just can't compete. The almond shade is the only one that I like because of the texture, blend ability and staying power. It is just a hit and miss in its performance.

Eyeliner review: L'Oreal Infallible Lacquer liner 24hr

Hi everyone
I hope your doing well, and enjoying the some what of a warm weather in Winter. Today I will be reviewing the L'Oreal Infallable Laquer liner. I love a gel eyeliners, this type of eyeliners are easy to work with even though it does require a separate brush and a little bit of practice to use.

the product

Product Claims:
High-shine lacquer finish.
Smooth application.
Lasts 24 hours
product and brush
Blackest black, Bronze, Dark Slate, Espresso and Navy.

the product in the pot

Product Experience:
I bought the  color 175 Dark Slate you get 2.3 g or 0.081 oz. of product for $9.95. It also comes with a thin round shaped eyeliner brush which is not too bad.
To use the product I prefer to use my Real techniques fine liner brush or if I even want a thinner line I will use the bare escentuals fine liner brush. I don't have a lot of lid space so I try to get the thinnest line as much as possible. I also have oily eyelids which I find
When I bought this gel liner, I thought I was getting a grey colored eyeliner. But I was wrong the color is more a dark taupey brown color. The texture is very nice and smooth and the product just glides on your lids. This color isn't very harsh looking like a very warm brown with a lot of red in it nor it is as stark as a regular black liner.

the brush

Pros:
  • Has a very creamy consistency, I've had this for a while now and still applies smoothly.
  • Very pigmented
  • Inexpensive
  • Has a nice demi-matte finish
  • Dries and sets
  • Available at your local drugstore, Target or Walmart

swatch Dark slate

Cons:
  • There are limited shades available
  • Does not stay on my lids very long, I this disappeared after 3 hrs of wear time.
  • Needs to be set with an eye shadow

This cream eyeliners just did not work for me, I would have to set the liner with a matching eye shadow so it stays put and does not disappear on my lids.

swatches of classic matte
Cons
  • It's supposed to be long lasting but it only lasted 3 hours on my lids without the use of a primer.
  • Needs a good tacky eye shadow base
  • The shadows are too soft and powdery creates a lot of fall out
  • The eyeshadow themselves break easily because they are so soft.
Available in 11 colors
swatches cappucino

All in all it is a good eye shadow and it worth looking into
