Product experience.
I started noticing that my skin feels tight even after I've used my usual moisturizer. I needed a moisturizer that's rich enough to but not too greasy or heavy.

I bought mine in a face starter kit, which included a sample of cleanser, facial wipes and this moisturizer for $6.75 at CVS. You get 1.9 fl oz of product. The product comes in this squeeze bottle it has seal on the inside. The product itself looks just like a regular moisturizer. It didn't have any scent.

Pros:
  • The texture is light
  • Blends easily
  • Fragrance free
  • Good for layering under make up since the texture is very light
  • Doesn't leave a greasy feeling
  • Didn't break me out
  • Inexpensive
  • Available at CVS, Target etc

Cons
  • I felt a stinging sensation
  • Doesn't have sunscreen

I had such high hopes for this product and it was  a let down. I don't particularly have sensitive skin and yet this product stung in such odd places.

Mirenesse Brush on instant lash transplant volumising

Product experience:
The products comes in this compact packaging that also can serve as storage unit. You get a tube of base/sealing mascara, a tube of fiber extensions and lash comb with spoolie. I paid $35 for the entire thing at hautelook on the regular price $44.00

Step 1. The base/sealing mascara has a unique brush. It's dual sided there is a flat side and long side.I found the base mascara is very lengthening on it's own.
Step 2. The fiber extension mascara has a narrow bristle brush and can be loaded with dark fibers.
Step 3. The spoolie and lash comb, the lash comb is made of plastic and has tapered tip.

The idea is that you coat your lashes with the mascara followed by the fiber extensions then followed by the mascara the. Brush or comb out the clumps in between applications

Pros
  • Very lengthening
  • Easy to use 3 step system
  • Everything you need comes in the kit, mascara, fiber extensions and lash comb/spoolie.
  • All the product the base and fiber mascara is colored black.
  • Feels very light on the eyelashes even with a lot layers of product on.
  • Less is more 2 layers is enough to lengthen define. Any more than that and it gets very clumpy
  • Easy to remove
  • Has a nice durable packaging that serves as a storage unit
step 2 fiber
Cons:
  • Has a lot of fall out from the fiber and the fall out is noticeable because the fibers are colored black.
  • Clumps easily so make sure to comb through your lashes in between application and even after a few hours of wear.
  • The base coat doesn't set this makes your lashes want to stick together even after a few hours have passed
  • Not for someone with sensitive eyes or contact wearers because the fibers drop down and can get in your eyes and irritate them
  • Expensive on sale it cost $44.00 on hautelook is cost $35.00
  • Hard to find, can only be purchased online at miranesse.com, ebay, amazon
silky lash fiber extensions

lash comb and spoolie

1 coat of base and fiber

two coats and fall out from the fiber extension

3 coats

3 coats and it is very clumpy I had to work hard combing my lashes and removing the excess fibers

Nothing beats wearing false lashes to make sparse lashes full and beautiful. This is a good product but it will not give you the false lash effect that you are looking for. Save your money and invest it in Latisse or those nice mink lashes.

Skin care review: Dr Brandt Pores no more Vacuum cleaner

Hi Everyone,

I hope your doing well today and enjoy the nice cool weather. I must confess that I caved, and decided to buy the Dr. Brandt Pores No More Vacuum cleaner black head extractor. I have been eyeing this product for a very long time. What stopped me in the past was the hefty price tag but today I decided to splurge a little bit pick this guy up.

Follow with pores no more pore refiner for maximum effectiveness.

swatch

Product experience:
The product comes in a 1 oz. or 30 g squeeze tube for a steep price of $45 , to use just take a small amount and spread the product onto clean skin. Wait 5 to 10 minutes till the product dries and turns light blue and then rinse.

The product is a clear colorless gel creme, It is easy to blend but since it's colorless it is hard to see where I have applied the product. The product contains a mild fragrance reminds me of an astringent. It's nothing too annoying but enough for me to know that I have this stuff on my face.

When I first applied the product, I noticed a cooling sensation with a slight tightening feeling. The product does sting a little bit upon initial application but it goes away quickly.
There is a tight feeling around the edges where I applied the gel. The gel turns a light powdery blue when it is completely dry.

The product is very potent, I noticed that it shrunk my pore size after my first use. I have used this product once every couple of weeks. Usually my pores become larger  in a few days time after using a pore strips but it didn't happen with this product.

swatch  blended out

Pros:
  • The product is very potent cleaned out my enlarged pores after first use.
  • Can be used on black heads and white heads as well.
  • Shrinks pore after initial use.
  • Keeps pores tight weeks after first use.
  • The product contains a color indicator, allowing the user to know when the product can be cleaned or taken off.
  • Colorless gel/cream nothing scary looking.

Cons:
  • The price this little tube cost $45 USD that's a bit steep.
  • Availability, so far I've only seen this product and brand at Sephora or Ulta. You can purchase this online at drbrandtskincare.com, sephora.com or ulta.com. Sometimes you will find this brand and product at hautelook.com but you have to be fast, this product sells out quickly.
  • The product stings a little bit, only during initial application but it quickly goes away.
  • There is a cooling sensation as the product dries and stays a little longer even has been taken off.
  • There is a mild astringent like scent.
  • If you have really large and deep black heads this product might not work. I have a few on my face that this just can't dissolve.
swatch drying out, the color is a light blue but on camera it looks white
I love this product and if your like me you have large pores around your nose and a little on the cheek area this product is a must. Yes it is on the expensive side but product is so potent, it cleans and shrinks your pores after one use. You don't need to use this more than once or twice a week as recommended usage. My pores size remained the same a few weeks after using this product.

Up n up eye make up remover pads

Hi everyone,

I hope your doing well today I will be reviewing the brand Up n up eye make up remover pads. I like using make up wipes to remove make up so I'm always in the hunt for something that works and inexpensive.

Product claims:

Helps remove makeup on contact including waterproof mascara these soft textured pads are gentle and soft for all skin types premoistened wipe swipes
Fragrance free
Hypoallergenic
Dermatologist tested

Product Experience:
The product comes in a plastic container with a resealable plastic tab. You get 30 pads of wipes for $2.99
The sheet is like any other make up remover sheets, its white has a quilted side and a smooth side. It about 2.5 by 2.5 in

Pros:
  • The solution did not sting my eye or skin around my eye.
  • Sheets has a quilted textured side and smooth side.
  • The sheets are quite soft even the quilted side
  • Does not leave greasy residue
  • Good for fixing mistakes or cleaning up under the eyes especially if your using dark eye shadows
  • Convenient for travel, the wipes is in a compact and light weight packaging.
  • Inexpensive
  • Available at Target

Cons:
  • The sheets are not saturated enough with solution. I find I'm still have to let the patch sit of my eye for a few minutes to avoid rubbing.
  • It's not very good at removing mascara or water proof eyeliner. I find that I still need to use a different make up remover to remove the stubborn mascara and waterproof eyeliner.
  • I have to store this inside a Ziploc bag to prevent the product from drying out. The resealable plastic tab wears off easily and doesn't seal the product well.

Over all this is an okay product, it won't thoroughly clean off every single bit of make up on your eyes. What I think it's good for is cleaning up eye shadow fall out or fixing mistakes. You wouldn't have to waste a big sheet of make up remover just to clean up any mistakes.

Cons
  • The tips started wearing off after 4 days and I didn't see chipping after 7 days.

The product is still good but not the best, for a two step process that does not involved curing. This nail polish lasted 6 days without chipping. I'm pretty harsh with my hands so most "long wear" nail polish only last 1 day and they chip horribly.

Mascara review:NYX color mascara

Hello Everyone,
packging
I hope your doing well today I will be reviewing the NYX color mascara, I'm currently loving the color blue this season. I love it as a pop of color on the lids or eyelashes. I was able to find this mascara.

brush

brush close up

Product Experience

I bought the color blue 0.0 g of product for $ 7.00 there are 2 other colors available a purple and brown.

Pros:

  • Has a nice large brush
  • Inexpensive

Cons:

  • Comes in 3 colors
  • has decent color pay off or maybe it's just my dark lashes
  • The formula is wet
  • Makes my lashes clump up so a lash comb after mascara dries is a must
  • The product flakes
  • Packaging sucks I had accidentally dropped this mascara and it broke

after I dropped the mascara

the formula is wet and made my lashes a little clumpy, I did buy it for the pop color on the lashes. My only issue is that this flaked. If your just wearing this for a couple of hours then it is okay. It's a decent product but I will not be repurchasing.

COCOA BEAR
All About This Color:
The cocoa bear is soft, snugly, and keeps you safe from the boogie monster. Just a fair warning, however, this warm and rich brown color makes people want to snuggle up close to you.

The Bottom Line:
Matte reddish brown

MOCHA
All About This Color:
I'm not sure what I love more: coffee or makeup. So here's the best of both worlds: an eyeshadow that reminds me of coffee. Rich, strong, and perks me up in the morning.

The Bottom Line:
Deep matte brown

swatches

Product Experience:
The eye shadows I bought come in a refill pan you get 1.8 g 0.064 oz of product for $5.99 USD  You can purchase the eyeshadow in a compact form or refill pan. The compact form cost an extra dollar more at $7.99 USD.
I bought the colors, Mocha and Cocoa Bear. I'm trying to build a collection of neutral colors that's not on the cool side. I own the naked palette by Urban Decay but I find that the darker shades on this palette is way to cool for my skin tone. I need to supplement it with other colors.
Make up geek eye shadows come in 67 different shades and finishes. Marlena has set aside a 9 shadow starter kit, a starter kit with a z palette, an ultimate eyeshadow kit with z palette and vegan kit with z-palette bundle. • Eye shadows comes in a compact or refill pan.
Cons:
  • Only available online at the make up geek store.
  • Can only be purchased in refill pans, single compacts, or the starter sets.
The make up geek line is still a budding business even though it just started the quality of the products is excellent at an affordable price.

Eye liner review :NYX studio liquid eyeliner

Hi Everyone

I hope your enjoying the very mild summer weather. Today I will be reviewing the NYX studio liquid eyeliner. Lately I've been loving a bright pop of color on the eyelids. I love that the looks allows me to play with color and still look polish.
packaging

Product claims:

Transform your look in seconds with this super-pigmented eye liner that highlights eyes with an electrifying stroke of color. The fine brush tip allows for precision application, and can be used to create lines of varying thickness. Go subtle or go glam.

ink well and brush

Product experience:

Comes in a tube you get 0.19 fl oz of product for $4.50. I have the color extreme blue. Has a very shimmer bright blue finish. Inkwell type of eyeliner with a very fine bristle brush.

Pros:
  • Very pigmented, vibrant color, what you see in the tube is the color your gonna get
  • Build-able
  • Has a nice very thin, stiff but flexible brush
  • Inexpensive
  • On the website there are 12 colors
  • Does not stain the skin
  • Can be easily taken off with soap and water
  • Available at target and CVS
swatches

Cons:
  • Comes in shimmery finish
  • Can be a little messy, the product has a wet formula that easily transfers upon application. It needs a few seconds to set.
  • Does not last very long, this only lasted a couple of hours on a bare eye lid. Does not claim to be a long last product
  • Wears really patchy through out the day.
  • Not recommended for anyone with oily eyelids, or to used at the lower lash line
  • I noticed a lot  of flakes around a my eye area thought the day
  • Needs to be reapplied throughout the day to maintain a nice crisp line
  • In order to for the liner to last you need to prep your eyelids. Depending on your look a primer is a must then set the liner with a corresponding eye shadow and the liner will last without touch ups.
liner without primer

I like this product because of the nice cobalt blue color. It does need some work getting the product to last but I think it's worth it.

Nail Product review:Rimmel Salon Pro nail colour with lycra

Hi Everyone

I hope your enjoying the warm summer weather. Today I will be reviewing the Rimmel Salon pro nail polish with lycra. I get into painting my nails once in a while, I don't like to spend too much money getting a nice manicure since the mani doesn't last very long. This particular polish caught my eye since it claims to be chip free for 10 days and it had lycra.

Product Claims:

Hot shades fresh from the catwalk!
Up to 10 days chip resistant nail colour with gel shine finish!
Including 10 amazing shades created by Kate Moss
Includes our precision maxi brush for salon perfection!

Available in 15 shades

the brush
Product Experience:

I bought the colors reggae splash which is coral and purple rain which a cool toned bluerple for $2.99 you get .4 oz of product.
The varnish has a nice wide brush that has a round tip.
Day 1 had a odd chip it happens right in the middle of my nail.
Day 2 I noticed the tips of my nails wearing off. I did laundry and shredded some receipts.

purple rain

Pros:
  • Has a nice wide brush
  • Dries fast but does not cure for another few hour.
  • Inexpensive
  • Available at drugstores
reggae splash
Cons:
  • Applies really streaky
  • The consistency is creamy but has lumps
  • Needs multiple coats to get full color
  • Has an odd tacky surface even after the polish has completely dried and cured.
  • The tips of my nails started wearing off on day two
  • Peels easily
  • the polish chips in odd places
after 4 days

Unfortunately this nail polish is a fail for me, I like that this has a nice wide brush and texture of the polish nice. It just didn't live up to the 10 day claim that this will not chip.

Eye make up review: NYX Jumbo eye pencils

Hi Everyone

I hope your doing well, today I will be reviewing the NYX jumbo eye pencils, I have heard so many good things about this particular product that I wanted to try it. I still love my Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on jumbo eye pencils but this product is on the pricey side. I have not seen this product on sale anywhere.

Product Claims:
A radiant eye liner that also doubles as an eye shadow. Made with a blend of mineral oil and powder, our creamy Jumbo Eye Pencils glide on effortlessly—no pulling, tugging or fading—and come in a rainbow of vivid hues. Some call her chubby. We say voluptuous. Available in 32 shades.

Product Experience:
The product comes in jumbo pencil form it does need sharpening, very easy and intuitive to use I paid $4.50 for each. I bought the colors Milk which is matte opaque white color, Strawberry milk which is a shimmery medium pink.

swatches strawberry milk and milk
Pros:
  • The product is very inexpensive.
  • Intuitive and easy to use
  • The product comes in a wide variety of colors and finishes to choose from.
  • Compact, it doesn't take a lot of room and it's easy to store and easy to travel with.
  • Can be used as a base to allow the true colors of the eye shadows to show
  • Can be used tacky primer for loose pigments, pressed eye shadows etc.
  • Availability NYX is now available at Target stores. You can purchase NYX products at Ulta, some 99 cent store, Sears online at NYX.com, Ulta.com, makeupgeek.com etc.
Cons:
  • Needs sharpening, this is not a mechanical pencil
  • Cant be used alone, creases very quickly so you need to use a good eye shadow base plus set the product with a matching eye shadow.
This is an okay product, the product itself has nice pigmentation that makes it great as a base. If worn alone it will crease. There is also a lot of prep work in order to make this product last. From using another separate eye primer and making to setting the eyes with eye shadow.

Eye make up review: Jordana 12 hr made to last eye shadow pencil

Hi everyone,
I hope your enjoying the weather, Today I will be reviewing the Jordana eye shadow pencils. I think just about every company from drugstore to high end is realizing their version of long wear eye shadow pencils. This forms of eye shadows are very convinient, easy to use and usually the formula is long lasting

Product claims:
12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil
Long-lasting (Up to 12 Hour wear)
Easy to use
Water-Resistant, Crease-Proof
Paraben-Free
Made in Germany
NET WT 0.10 OZ /2.8 g
Available In 8 Shades

Swatches from left to right
Stay on black, Continuous Almond, Tenacious brown
Product experience
The product comes in a pen style, you get 0.10 g of product for $3.99. To use just swipe this across your kids and blend with either a blending brush or fingers.
I bought the colors black, brown and almond. It comes in two finishes shimmery and matte and has 8 different colors. I bought the one that has a matte finish because those are hard to come by.

Pros:
Easy to use, very intuitive because of the pencil style packaging
Comes in two finishes matte and shimmery.
Comes with basic shades like black, brown, white and skin tone and fun shades like purple, green and pink.
Inexpensive
Available at Walgreens

Cons:
Limited color selection
Dries very quickly
Hit and miss with the consistency of the product, I found that the brown very dry and hard to blend and the black very creamy that I had to set it with a powder to keep from creasing.

I had such high hopes for this product,  I love my Urban Decay 24/7 jumbo pencils. In the end this brand just can't compete. The almond shade is the only one that I like because of the texture, blend ability and staying power. It is just a hit and miss in its performance.

Eyeliner review: L'Oreal Infallible Lacquer liner 24hr

Hi everyone
I hope your doing well, and enjoying the some what of a warm weather in Winter. Today I will be reviewing the L'Oreal Infallable Laquer liner. I love a gel eyeliners, this type of eyeliners are easy to work with even though it does require a separate brush and a little bit of practice to use.

the product

Product Claims:
High-shine lacquer finish.
Smooth application.
Lasts 24 hours
product and brush
Blackest black, Bronze, Dark Slate, Espresso and Navy.

the product in the pot

Product Experience:
I bought the  color 175 Dark Slate you get 2.3 g or 0.081 oz. of product for $9.95. It also comes with a thin round shaped eyeliner brush which is not too bad.
To use the product I prefer to use my Real techniques fine liner brush or if I even want a thinner line I will use the bare escentuals fine liner brush. I don't have a lot of lid space so I try to get the thinnest line as much as possible. I also have oily eyelids which I find
When I bought this gel liner, I thought I was getting a grey colored eyeliner. But I was wrong the color is more a dark taupey brown color. The texture is very nice and smooth and the product just glides on your lids. This color isn't very harsh looking like a very warm brown with a lot of red in it nor it is as stark as a regular black liner.

the brush

Pros:
  • Has a very creamy consistency, I've had this for a while now and still applies smoothly.
  • Very pigmented
  • Inexpensive
  • Has a nice demi-matte finish
  • Dries and sets
  • Available at your local drugstore, Target or Walmart

swatch Dark slate

Cons:
  • There are limited shades available
  • Does not stay on my lids very long, I this disappeared after 3 hrs of wear time.
  • Needs to be set with an eye shadow

This cream eyeliners just did not work for me, I would have to set the liner with a matching eye shadow so it stays put and does not disappear on my lids.
